Fabric & Weather Protection
The outer shell uses a lightweight ripstop weave treated with a durable water repellent finish that causes water to bead and roll off the surface. We chose ripstop specifically because the reinforced grid structure prevents tears from spreading if you snag the fabric on a branch or equipment edge.
While this jacket handles light precipitation and snow flurries with ease, it’s not a rain jacket replacement for sustained downpours. The DWR coating maintains its effectiveness through approximately 20 wash cycles before requiring reapplication with a spray-on treatment.
